(Hey there sexy, welcome to the Casablanca family!)
( Corabelle- "Daddy, you know we needed an ottoman here...")
Cora is unsure what to think about it, but she likes to crawl under things so I'm sure she'll be lounging underneath those laminate surfaces soon. What finally sold me on the table is the blonde wood, Formica tops, and legs kind of match my grandmothers small side fountain table (that is between the two chairs in the back ground) and I could always use this pair in my "real house" someday. Along with, while the new room fights the battle of "Blonde furniture vs Dark" this now brings the blonde count up to four pieces, and dark to three (not including the legs on the sofa and chairs which are dark.) I wouldn't mind having all blonde pieces, BUT the Predicta TV cabinet and the perfectly good working piano that friend Joe gave me are dark wood! So it is a TBC toss up...
Now I need to find a long skinny "atomic" planter to put in the center of the coffee table!

Great find! You can't beat that price with a stick! I am one who thinks that you can (and probably should) mix light and dark wood furniture. The table looks awesome!
I think it looks great and will be a great substitute until the perfect ottoman comes along!

What a great table! It's very in style to mix wood stains now...It's ok to have both dark and light. And what a deal!
I can't believe you waffled over that, it's so cool! Great buy and cute dog!
If you had passed that up for $10, we would have been worried about you, Mick. :) I'm completely reconciled to mixing wood colors. It adds interest to the room, I think.
What a find! And for $10!!! Mick, I LOVE this piece! And it looks great where you put it.
You are SO hooked! lol

So glad you did not pass up this awesome 50's coffee table! It is perfect and you will find tons of uses for it. Wish I had a planter to send to you...and you will need ivy in it of course!
That looks fabulous there!!
Mick, that table looks like it belongs there! You can always find a killer mid century stool to tuck underneath it later. ;)
